Beyond Nature Land and recreation

9/30/2020

Yorkshire Water is working in partnership with Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to recruit the first ever farming officer for the water company’s Beyond Nature programme.

Beyond Nature focuses on sustainable land management and focuses on nine core themes, including: biodiversity, water quality, carbon, farming enterprise, social, climate change and recreation. The new farming officer will work with both Yorkshire Water and Nidderdale AONB to deliver land management conservation over Yorkshire Water’s estate in Nidderdale AONB and across the region.

The role is based in Pateley Bridge and would suit an experienced farm conservation advisor who can work independently to develop close working relations with farmers and provide clear conservation advice.

Lead surveyor at Yorkshire Water, Lisa Harrowsmith said: “This position has been created under our new Land Strategy and helps us to fulfil our commitment of delivering exceptional land for Yorkshire, forever.

“As the second largest landowner in Yorkshire, we have a responsibility to ensure that our region’s environment is carefully managed. Our new farming officer will play a key role in that.”

Applications for the role close on Sunday 4th October. For more information visit: https://jobs.harrogate.gov.uk/itrentlive_webrecruitment/wrd/run/ETREC107GF.open?VACANCY_ID=240402EFIs&WVID=8269830Z7x&LANG=USA
