Our Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan (DWMP) is a 25-year plan to manage our wastewater infrastructure and ensure we continue to deliver a resilient wastewater service for our customers and for the environment. It will assess how future risks including climate change, population growth and urban development could impact our wastewater services and identify a range of infrastructure improvements for the future.

How we'll be developing our DWMP
Setting the scene for our plan
Within our strategic context, we identify the trends we will consider in our plan and set out our approach to assessing the benefits of our proposed interventions to ensure we can deliver a best value plan.
Understanding our risk (current and future)
We'll use a data driven approach to assess how our wastewater systems operate from present day through to 2055. We will assess our performance against each of the plan performance Indicators.
Developing our options
Once we've understood our risk, we'll consider the interventions and options we could deliver across our wastewater assets to manage any changes in risk. We'll consider both traditional and nature-based infrastructure solutions.
Creating our preferred plan
After developing our range of options, we'll undertake a best value assessment to create our preferred plan.
Reporting, publishing and consulting on our plan
We'll ensure all our documents are published online for our customers, communities and stakeholders.
Reviewing our plan
We'll review our plan annually to assess for any material changes and update our plan as required.
