Yorkshire Water reminds customers of extra support available when needed
10/23/2026
Yorkshire Water is reminding customers of the extra support it has available via its Priority Services Register (PSR) for those who may want or need additional help in accessing services day-to-day and during any supply interruptions.
More than 352,000 customers are registered to Yorkshire Water's PSR, which is around 15% of Yorkshire's population, and just over half of those registered are of pensionable age.
Registered customers can nominate someone to help manage their account, either permanently or temporarily. Passwords can also be added to accounts to reassure customers that it’s Yorkshire Water visiting their home.
Depending on the customer's individual circumstances, options such as paperless or braille billing may also make it easier to manage their account. Customers can also access additional services, including Recite Me on the Yorkshire Water website, interpreters when contacting the utility, and British Sign Language communication support.
More than two-thirds of customers on the PSR are also signed up for bottled water deliveries in the case of an unplanned supply interruption - a service that can be helpful for many people, for example, those who are unable or find it particularly difficult to leave their home to pick up bottled water.
Signing up for the PSR online is simple, and customers can also see the full range of support available. Customers are encouraged to keep their details up to date so they can be contacted if there is an issue in their area and receive the support that meets their needs.
Customers can sign up for the Priority Services Register via the Yorkshire Water website or by calling the customer experience team. Priority Services Register (PSR) 03451 242424
