Yorkshire Water invests £1.8m near Keighley

Yorkshire Water has begun work on a new £1.8m water pipe between Watersheddles reservoir and Oldfield Water Treatment Works.
The 4km pipe will replace the one in situ which was prone to bursting.
Work has begun on Oldfield Lane, which unfortunately, for health and safety reasons has meant the road has to be closed from the entrance to the Water Treatment Works and the junction with Scar Top Road.
The second phase will begin on February 3rd in Two Laws Lane, while the third will take eight weeks and will also need another road closure, this time from the junction of Oldfield Road to the junction with Cragg Bottom Road and Two Laws Road. The project will be completed by the summer.
Yorkshire Water Project Manager John Shanks said: “We are delighted this project has begun and will add greater resilience to the network.
“We understand the road closures are frustrating, but we thank customers in advance of this vital project.”
