Update: 3pm, 30 April

We experienced a significant rising main burst on our wastewater network on Bradford Road, Cleckheaton, BD19.

This caused significant damage to the sewer and both sides of the highway. Our teams have now managed to repair a lane of Bradford Road, which will reopen today (30 April) under four-way lights. We know that this will continue to cause significant traffic disruption.

If you’re travelling in the area, please avoid Bradford Road if possible, or plan ahead for delays.

Our teams have been onsite since the early hours of Friday (25 April) and are in the process of repairing the burst rising main. They are working extended hours of 7am-7pm to complete the repair as quickly as possible. We are expecting the repair to take a number of weeks to complete due to the complexity and depth of the repair.

Businesses on Bradford Road remain open as normal

Thank you for bearing with us while we get everything back to normal.
