Some customers in Easingwold, Tollerton and surrounding areas may be experiencing low water pressure or no water while we are responding to the impact of a third-party pollution incident on the river Ouse.

What's happened?

Some customers in the Easingwold area are going to be experiencing lower water pressure than normal or no water. We’ve had to turn off our water treatment works due to the impact of the third-party pollution incident on the river Ouse. Once we identified the pollution in our raw water supply, we immediately took steps to shut down our water treatment works to protect water quality. Making sure our customers have brilliant quality water is our priority. Our water treatment works is now back up and running, and while we fill the system back up some customers might have lower water pressure or no water in some places.

We’re hopeful this will not be prolonged, but given the warm weather, we have taken the decision to set up bottled water stations. We are also delivering bottled water to customers on our Priority Services Register. We’re sorry for the disruption this will cause, but we’ll keep everyone updated via our website and by text message if their details are logged with us.

We're setting up bottled water stations for customers to collect what they need. These stations are at
