Yorkshire Water is recruiting 65 graduates, its largest cohort ever, to fill a range of roles to support the ongoing delivery of an £8.3bn investment programme.

The utility is offering graduate roles across many departments. They include engineering roles, placements in the strategy and regulation department, project management positions, and environmental specialist roles, among many others.

The number of graduate vacancies has more than doubled since last year.

Ann Stanley, funded learning lead at Yorkshire Water, said: “This time last year we recruited 24 graduates, which was our biggest cohort to date as we were ramping up to start delivery of the next investment period. This is now underway, and at the core of making sure we can meet all our commitments is bringing more exciting talent on board, which is why we are once again hiring graduates in record numbers.”

Hired graduates will be supporting the delivery of the current five-year investment period (2025 – 2030), in which Yorkshire Water is undertaking a significant programme of work to improve its services and its impact on the environment. £8.3bn will be invested throughout Yorkshire in the next five years – equivalent to £4.5m per day.

Ann added: “The placements we’re offering are high-impact, and straight away, we want our graduates to be involved in helping us to tackle challenges like climate resilience, the future of water, and our current environmental impact.

Lewis Cosford, a graduate project manager at Yorkshire Water, said: “I've gained experience in so many parts of the business and so many projects already. Having these different opportunities has kept the learning engaging, and it’s fantastic that there’s so much freedom to figure out your own career path here.”

Amaar Farooq, an engineering graduate at Yorkshire Water, added: “Working for Yorkshire Water offers you the chance to deliver an essential service. You’ll be part of projects that directly impact public health and the environment, giving you a real sense of responsibility and purpose.”

Applications for graduate roles are now open and close on 9 November 2025. Anybody interested in applying or finding out more information can do so via mycareers.yorkshirewater.com
