To help keep everyone safe, our car park at this reservoir is closed and we're asking everyone not to visit for a little while - hopefully it won't be for too long. We'll update here when it's back open. For more information please visit our reservoirs page.
Royd Moor is the smallest of the three reservoirs just to the North of Penistone. The land around the reservoir is planted with mature native oak trees and lots of wildflowers, making it a nature lover’s retreat all year round. The walk around the reservoir is only 11/2 miles long and features a mixture of wide surface tracks and smaller paths which are muddy and riddled with tree roots. If you’re coming to Royd Moor, why not make a day of it and visit Scout Dike and Ingbirchworth too.
