In June 2015 Ofwat published its Final Position paper on the Company Monitoring Framework. The Company Monitoring Framework is an assurance framework which oversees the way in which companies assure and provide information to customers and stakeholders to ensure they have confidence and trust in the information being reported and how this is assured.
The purpose of this consultation is to invite views on the risks, strengths and weaknesses associated with providing information to customers and other stakeholders.
It is important that we provide information that is accessible, accurate, transparent and which our stakeholders and customer can have confidence and trust in. Ofwat acknowledge that companies are best placed to identify with their stakeholders the risks, strengths and weaknesses associated with providing this information and to explore any emerging risks or issues arising to target areas for improvement.
The reliability and accuracy of data is a matter of great importance to us and this is an opportunity to understand the views of our customers and stakeholders. If you would like to participate in this consultation please email: firstname.lastname@example.org with your details by close of business on 23 October 2015 so we can contact you to discuss this further.
We will use the results from this consultation and conversations with key stakeholders to produce a Risks, Strengths and Weaknesses statement and shape our draft Assurance Plan(s), which will be published in early November 2015. We will then provide a further opportunity for you to feedback on our plans before finalising them in preparation for our annual reporting at the end of 2015-16.
