Car park to remain open for Chelsea FA Cup tie

The car park which serves the KCOM stadium will be open for Saturday’s FA Cup tie between Hull City and Chelsea.

A collapsed sewer before Christmas caused significant damage in and around the Walton Street area with a road closure enforced for health and safety reasons.

However, Yorkshire Water would like to reassure fans that the car park will still be accessible with diversions signs in place.

“The collapsed sewer has caused a lot of damage and is an extremely complex job. We are working as quickly as possible to fix it and want to let people know that local shops remain open.

“We can confirm that the car park near the KCOM Stadium will be open for Saturday’s game, but would warn fans to expect traffic in the area.”

The works on Walton Street will be completed by the end of the month.
