New sewer to be laid for housing development in Lightcliffe

From Monday 13th November, we'll be carrying out some work to connect a new housing development off Wakefield Road in Lightcliffe to the sewerage system 

Our contract partners, Barhale and B Jeffrey Construction, will  lay the new sewer on Wakefield Road from close to Pear Tree Lane to the junction with Till Carr Lane. This is planned to take until Christmas to complete.

For safety reasons, two-way traffic lights will be in place on Wakefield Road for the duration of the scheme. These will be manned at peak times to reduce traffic disruption.

Refuse collections won’t be affected so please put your bins out as normal. Water and waste water services also won’t be affected.

Vehicle access to properties and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Please be assured we'll do everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum and complete the work as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We'll keep you updated on progress. Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm but the traffic lights need to be in place at all times.
