Our pre-planning report equips you with the information you need to start planning with confidence. By reaching out to us in the pre-planning phase, you’ll get an overall picture of our network’s availability and any potential restrictions and capacity issues at the earliest opportunity.
Since January 2021, we’ve been following the new Codes for Adoption, which means you’ll need to provide us with a minimum set of required information as part of your enquiry. Remember, the more information we have from you, the better we can support and advise you.

- expected site usage
- estimated supply of water needed for first plot
- your preferred supply point
- quantity/types of buildings proposed within first 5-15 years, including commercial supply requirements.

Once you’ve applied and made the payment, we’ll get back to you within 5 days to let you know we’ve got your application and whether we’re missing any key details.
How long will it take to get your report?
You’ll get your pre-planning report within 21 days of receiving an acknowledgement from us. Keep in mind that the information we provide at this stage is subject to a final review and confirmation at later stages of the development.
What you’ll get in your report
We’ll provide you with a desktop study on the location and capacity of our network to supply your site and any restrictions that could affect your development. Please note: this report does not include a quote. You’ll get a quote when you submit an application form for a particular service. Not sure which service you need?
