Countryfile Live competition terms and conditions

ENTRY MECHANISM:

Comment on our dedicated Facebook, Twitter or Instagram competition post with your answer to the question: How many litres of water do we source and treat each day?

PRIZE:

Yorkshire Water will randomly select 40 winners from Facebook, 10 winners from Twitter and 5 winners from Instagram, each winning x4 standard tickets to The Countryfile Live event at Castle Howard for use on either Thursday (15th August), Friday (16th August), Saturday (17th August) or Sunday (18th August).

NOTE: It is free entry to the event for children under 5 years of age.

ELIGIBILITY                                                                                                

1.1 Entry is open to Yorkshire Water customers aged 18 years or over.

1.2 Employees of Yorkshire Water and any associated group companies and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Any such entries will be invalid.

1.3 The closing time for entries is 9am Monday 12th August. Any entries received after this time will be disregarded.

1.4 Entry to the competition must be by the applicable method and in accordance with the deadlines as indicated above.

1.5 No bulk, automated, machine assisted, third party, syndicate or other group entries will be accepted. We shall disqualify any entries which, in our reasonable opinion, appear to have used any of these entry methods.

1.6 Entrants who do not satisfy the disclosed entry method or those who make an entry on someone else's behalf will be disqualified at the discretion of Yorkshire Water.

ENTRY METHODS

2.1 Comment on our dedicated Facebook, Twitter or Instagram competition post with your answer to the question: How many litres of water do we source and treat each day?

2.2 An individual may submit one entry for the duration of the competition. Subsequent entries will be disregarded.

2.3 No purchase necessary to enter.

VALID ENTRIES.

3.1 In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of any entry or the operation of any part of the competition the decision of Yorkshire Water shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

PRIZES

4.1 Yorkshire Water will randomly select 30 winners from Facebook, 15 winners from Twitter and 10 winners from Instagram to win x4 standard tickets to The Countryfile Live event at Castle Howard for use on either Thursday (15th August), Friday (16th August), Saturday (17th August) or Sunday (18th August).

4.2 The winners will be notified on the date the winning entry is selected – 9th August or as soon as practical thereafter. The winner will have a specified fixed time period of 48 hours to claim their prize. Failure to respond within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize although Yorkshire Water will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner to ensure this does not happen.

4.3 The prize will be sent to the winner via first class post. The prize will be fulfilled as soon as possible after the winner has claimed their prize.

WINNER SELECTION

5.1 All entrants who have submitted an entry appropriately, and as indicated above, will be pooled and the winners will be selected randomly.

5.2 The winners will be required to respond with their address via the Yorkshire Water Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account within 48 hours of notifications being sent.

STANDARD TERMS

6.1 In the event that any entrant does not or is unable to comply with these Terms and Conditions or the Competition Information, Yorkshire Water shall be entitled at its sole discretion to disqualify such entrant, without any further liability to such entrant. Entrants must comply with any directions given to them by Yorkshire Water including in relation to any and all relevant laws, rules and regulations.

6.2 These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.

6.3 Yorkshire Water reserves the right to withdraw or amend any competition as necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control.

6.4 The decision of Yorkshire Water in all matters is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
