Maintenance work at Baitings reservoir

We’re carrying out some routine maintenance of the reservoir overflow at Baitings.

Our contract partners, Mott MacDonald Bentley, will be working from Monday 24th April for around three weeks.

For safety reasons, due to the size of the specialist equipment needed to carry out the work, the footpath that runs across the crest of the reservoir from the car park off Rochdale Road towards Back O' Th' Height will be closed. A signposted diversion route will be in place, which is shown in green on this diversion plan.

We also need to use half of the Yorkshire Water car park located off Rochdale Road for storage and safe access so parking will be limited for the two week duration.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.
