Teetotal Santa on the Yorkshire Water this Christmas

Santa is asking the people of Yorkshire to leave out water for him on Christmas Eve as he delivers presents to the children of the region.

Christmas dinner sewer blockage warning as 2,500 sewers suffer in December

The fats, oils and greases (FOGs) from meat and gravies can often stick together in narrow sewers and cause ‘fatbergs’ which block them up. As such, advice is to instead pour cooking juices into a jam jar and then when full dispose of in the bin.

Delivering Christmas cheer to children at Bradford Royal Infirmary

Sarah Royal, from Idle in Bradford, has donated over a thousand selection boxes to children in hospitals at Christmas over the past four years. Hospitals include Airedale, Bradford Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal.

New sheep seats ewe can look out for at west Yorkshire reservoir

Visitors to a west Yorkshire reservoir may notice a small flock of sheep grazing on the pathway, but a closer inspection will reveal them as ‘n-ewe’ inspired seats for walkers to rest at and admire the reservoir views. #FoundEwe

Leakage to be reduced by 40% as Yorkshire Water welcomes regulator’s challenge

An ambitious package has been announced by Yorkshire Water as it looks to reduce leakage by over 40 per cent by 2025 and become one of the leaders in the water industry.

Efforts to open up Yorkshire countryside to wheelchair users recognised by Harrogate charity

Yorkshire Water, as the second largest landowner in Yorkshire, has been recognised for its efforts to open up access to the countryside for those with physical and mental disabilities by the Harrogate-based charity Open Country.

Bursting water pipe in Denholme set to be replaced

Yorkshire Water will start work on Monday 4 December to replace 500 metres of the old cast iron water pipe which runs under Keighley Road in Denholme to improve the water supply for residents.
