Bridge installed at Cod Beck reservoir to complete circular walking route

As part of Yorkshire Water’s aims to make its reservoir more wheelchair and pram friendly, a pedestrian bridge has been installed at Cod Beck reservoir with the help of the Sheepwash Action Group.

Ogden, Langsett and Grimwith compete to be named Yorkshire’s best reservoir

Three of Yorkshire’s finest beauty spots are set to battle it out to be named the county’s best reservoir. 

After preliminary rounds which saw them crowned regional winners in North, South and West Yorkshire, Ogden Water, Langsett and Grimwith are each relying on the public’s help to claim the top prize.

Cold weather set to hit Yorkshire

With temperatures set to plummet to -5C it is likely the 851 burst pipes already fixed by the Yorkshire Water team in the last three months will increase over the coming weeks.

Routh’s leakiest pipe to be replaced in £130,000 scheme

A 300 metre section of pipe will be replaced between the village of Routh and the White Cross roundabout and a new water main will be installed along the A1035, north east of Beverley.

Yorkshire Water to install new sewer pipe near Doncaster Dome

Yorkshire Water will soon begin work to lay a new sewer close to Doncaster Dome as it improves access and maintenance of the network in the area.

Virtual reality gaming technology helping engineers design futuristic sites

Engineers at Yorkshire Water are turning to virtual reality technology developed by The University of Sheffield to help design and visualise new treatment works which could help save the company £1m in design costs by 2020.

Hundreds of leaks fixed as freezing temperatures affect water main network

Yorkshire Water has reported that due to the freezing temperatures this winter, it’s team of leakage inspectors have had to repair 851 burst pipes in the last three months alone.
