Update on Yorkshire Water’s £3 million scheme to lay six miles of new water pipes in Harrogate

The next phase of Yorkshire Water’s £3 million clean water pipe replacement scheme will begin in early February to lay a section along the northern edge of the Stray.

Yorkshire Water will start work on Monday 7th January on a scheme to lay a new clean water pipe in the vicinity of the Prince of Wales roundabout in Harrogate.

Yorkshire Water invests almost £8m in north Yorkshire treatment sites

Yorkshire Water is starting two schemes of investment worth £7.7m at two wastewater treatment works (WwTW) in north Yorkshire.

The company is spending £5.2m at Thirsk and £2.5m at Bedale Wastewater Treatment Works to improve the quality of water returned to the local water courses, Bedale Beck and Cod Beck, after treatment.

Woodland Trust, Yorkshire Water and Forest of Bradford kick off the planting of 1 million trees

Earlier this month saw the planting of over 14,000 trees at Ogden Water marking the start of a partnership that will see one million trees planted on land owned by Yorkshire Water and leased by the Woodland Trust to help expand the White Rose Forest as part of the new Northern Forest project.

Yorkshire Water is urging customers not to tip turkey fat and other leftovers down the plughole after a new study found that one in five still do.

Grease and fat can clog up pipes and sewers which increases the risk of homes being flooded with raw sewage.
