Yorkshire Water readies itself for possible flash floods

Yorkshire Water is readying itself for the possibility of flash floods in the region with the dry weather set to end in dramatic fashion.

After a month which has seen records tumble, forecasters are predicting rain and thunderstorms across the county today.

Work to be carried out on Hunslet Lane to help control Leeds' water demand

Old sewage sludge incinerator in Brighouse set to be demolished

An old sewage sludge incinerator in Brighouse built in 1992 will be demolished to make way for a £40m state-of-the-art facility energy and recycling centre converting human waste into electricity.

Yorkshire Water and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust start work on Ninelands Soak it Up project

Yorkshire Water and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust began work on a “Soak it Up” project, planting trees, constructing a rain garden planter and a water butt planter to help reduce the impact of surface water at Ninelands Primary School in Garforth.
