‘Spot the van’ photo contest launched as part of Hull City of Culture

As one of the principal partners for Hull UK City of Culture 2017, Yorkshire Water have launched a ‘spot the van’ photo contest in a show of support for next year’s celebrations.

Five of our Hull based vans have been given a special Hull City of Culture makeover and re-designed in preparation for next year.

As part of this, a ‘spot the van’ photo contest has been created which offers 10 people the chance to win a pair of free tickets, with a combined value up to £30, to one of this year’s Hull City of Culture events of their choosing.

The contest rules require people to simply take a photo of one of the specially designed vans if they see one and tweet it to @YorkshireWater with the hashtag #spottheYWvan.

Contestants will be entered into a weekly prize draw for a chance to win the two tickets. The contest will run from 7th September with a closing date of 11th October, giving away a total of up to 20 tickets.

A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “We have planned a range of exciting events to celebrate next year’s Hull UK City of Culture 2017 that we will be letting everyone know about in due course. Our ‘spot the van’ contest will whet the appetite and give people the chance to win free tickets to some great events happening this year as part of the build-up.”

We have a total of 70 vans in Hull that each average 7,600 miles per year attending jobs across the city every day to help keep the taps flowing and toilets flushing.
