Sewer repairs on Shaw Lane in Headingley, LS6

Our contractors Amey will be working in Shaw Lane from Saturday 22 October.

The team from Amey are repairing a section of collapsed sewer which is located 6 metres underground in Shaw Lane, between the junctions with Grove Lane and Otley Road.

The team will start work at 8am on 22 October and will be onsite for a maximum of seven days. In order to get the repair completed as soon as possible, they will be working between 8am and 10pm each day.

During this time, there will be no access to Headingley via Shaw Lane. Traffic will be diverted via Meanwood Road, Stonegate Road, King Lane, Moortown Ring Road, Adel Ring Road, Weetwood Ring Road and Otley Road.

Yorkshire Water apologises for any traffic delays and advises motorists to consider a different route or allow extra time if they do need to travel to the area.

It’s unlikely that Amey or Yorkshire Water employees will need access to properties and residents and business owners are being asked to be on their guard against bogus callers while the team is working in the area.

Employees of both companies carry identity cards, which can be checked by telephoning 0800 1 38 78 78, and they won't mind waiting while their details are verified.
