New water pipe, Otley Road, Harrogate
We’ve been working since the start of January to lay a new water pipe along Otley Road, Harrogate to support new housing developments nearby. Part of the scheme involves working in the junction of Otley Road and Beckwith Road and to do this work safely, we’ll need to restrict access to and from Beckwith Road and have a local diversion in place for two weeks.
From Saturday 10 February, no traffic will be able to turn onto Beckwith Road from Otley Road, nor will motorists be able to enter Otley Road from Beckwith Road. Although this work will take two weeks to complete, we’ve scheduled the first week to coincide with half term to try and minimise disruption. Whilst we complete the work in the junction, a localised diversion will be in place along Pannal Ash Road and the temporary traffic lights will remain in place on Otley Road.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and to try and keep disruption to a minimum and complete the work as quickly as possible, we’ll continue to work seven days a week. Our normal working hours will continue to be 8am until 5pm but the traffic lights need to be in place at all times.
As we’re laying an additional clean water pipe, we’re not expecting any interruptions water supply. Should this change, we’ll directly contact any properties which will be affected.
Neither Yorkshire Water or Morrison Utility Services colleagues will need access inside your property. Always ensure you ask for identification before letting anyone onto your property.
