Hurgill and Victoria Road, Richmond

Our latest phase to tackle localised sewer flooding in Richmond is complete, and we're pleased to confirm that local roads have re-opened once again, in time for the Easter holidays. All work in the road is now complete.

Over the last five weeks, over ninety metres of new sewer has been laid in the road and we would like to thank customers for their patience whilst it was carried out.

Our contractors, Mott MacDonald Bentley, will continue to build the associated underground storage tank, capable of holding 80,000 litres of waste water, in the grounds of Nun's Close car park, located off Hurgill Road.

The tank will collect storm water during wet weather and hold it until it's safe for it to be released back into the local sewer network to go on for treatment. The whole project is set to be completed by the end of May 2012.
