Yes. If you need help to pay we've a range of options that may help you. All properties built since 1990 have been fitted with a meter.

A meter measures how much water we've supplied to your home and records cubic metres (1 cubic meter = 1000 litres of water).

I live in a newbuild house which doesn't have a water meter, what should I do?

All new properties should have a water meter. The builder should have given you the meter details when your home was handed over. Please request a free callback so we can get your details. Don't worry, we'll only charge you from the date we find or fit the meter.

What happens if you can't read my meter?

We aim to read meters every 6 months and guarantee to do it at least once in every financial year.
If we haven't read your meter for any reason, we'll estimate what you've used.
If our estimate isn't accurate when you receive the bill and you'd prefer to provide a reading, you can do this easily online.

How do you work out my monthly payments?

If you’re a new customer, we’ll base your payments on the amount of water we expect the number of people in your home to use.

Once you’ve been with us a while, we look at the balance on your account and your last two meter readings. We use these numbers to work out what your charges will be for the next year.

We normally review your payments every 12 months, but if we see a big change in your water use, we may amend your payments sooner.
