Education centres
Our education centres are located across the region at fully operational sites an they're all suitable for school children.
Our education centres are:
-
Headingley Water Treatment Works, Leeds
-
Ewden Water Treatment Works, North Sheffield
-
Loftsome Bridge Water Treatment Works, Near Goole
Our centres aim to educate primary school children about the water cycle, the environment and safety. Our programme has been developed with the help of school teachers and covers the core elements of the national curriculum at Key Stage 2, including numeracy, literacy, geography, science and, of course, water.
A range of projects and experiments are also carried out to make visits as relevant as possible to the National Curriculum, more information can be found in resource packs available for teachers to take back to the classroom.
