Our environmental achievements

We're committed to conserving and enhancing the environment and our efforts have been rewarded with many accolades.

• We've achieved "Platinum" status in Business in the Community's Yorkshire and Humber Environment Index for the 8th year running.
• In 2009 we've been reaccredited with a Big Tick in the Man Group International Climate Change category of the Business in the Community National Awards of Excellence. Our entry highlighted our activities to drive energy efficiency, increase renewable energy generation and manage our carbon footprint.
• Our innovative rainwater harvesting system scooped Silver at the International Green Apple Awards in 2008. We have also won Green Apple Awards of Excellence. Our entry highlighted our activities to drive energy efficiency, increase renewable energy generation and manage our carbon footprint.

• In 2008 the Energy Institute awarded us accreditation under the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme. The EEAS standard marks our achievements in driving energy efficiency throughout the company.
• We were recently shortlisted at the Utility Industry Achievement Awards for our active commitment to sustainable land management.
• Our Environmental Management System is certified to the International Environmental Standard ISO14001.
