No Water in YO32 & YO30

Due to a suspected mains burst, some of our customers in the Strensall, Wiggington, Haxby, Huntington and Rawcliffe areas of York may be experiencing an interruption to their water supply.

Yorkshire Water engineers are on-site and working to restore water supplies as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this problem and thank you for your patience and cooperation whilst we work to repair the burst.

Potential discoloured water

When your water supply is restored, it may be discoloured for up to several hours. If you have discoloured water and need water for drinking and cooking, please follow our advice:

1. Run the tap which is fed first from your water supply for several minutes (this will usually be your kitchen tap).

2. Fill a jug and leave it to stand until any sediment has settled to the bottom.

3. Pour the clear water from the top of the jug for use.

Whist your water is discoloured, please don't run the hot tap or use dishwashers, washing machines or any appliances fed by your hot water supply.
