IT Service Provisions Manager

Graduated in Business & Information Technology.

As a new graduate embarking into the real working world I wanted to gain experience in an exciting and successful regional organisation. Yorkshire Water Services Ltd fitted that criteria and I have not looked back.

Over the years I have been presented with numerous career development opportunities, and I have taken advantage of every single one. The excellent career opportunities at Yorkshire Water have seen me start as a temporary call centre operative, working on a 3 month contract, and move up to a job in IT Operations where I worked for 5 years.

It brings its own challenges and opportunities: being responsible for £50 million worth of Data Centre hardware every day certainly keeps me on my toes.

 

I soon became a senior member of the Operations team and was allocated more responsibility and decision making. Having developed into this role and improved my PDP (Personal development plan) with my manager, I was successful in my recent application to become the IT Service Provisions Manager.  In this role I enjoy managing 3 teams, ensuring that all goals and objectives are met and that we maintain a satisfied workforce, and a happy customer base.

Being a senior manager is both challenging and rewarding; no two days are the same.

In addition to my role I sit on the Programme Office project board & the Loop management SLA review board.

Shakil works in IT. There are many different roles available such as; IT Professional, Developer, Project Manager, Service Desk Analyst, Project Scientist, Business Analyst, Web, Developer, Service Desk Analyst, Technical, Analyst, Lotus Notes Developer, Web Developer, C#.Net Developer, SQL Developer, SAP-Developer, SAP-ECC6 Developer, CISCO.
