Selection process
Our selection process is designed to look at your skills; the ways that you think and how you behave in different situations. Our process is challenging as our goal is to make absolutely sure that the decisions made are right for you, the team and the business you will join. We're sure you agree that you want the decision to be the right one - on both sides!
Our
hints and tips section is worth a visit to help you throughout the process - good luck and we hope to meet you soon.
Throughout the process we'll reimburse reasonable travelling costs.
We embrace the creativity that comes from diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity. We regularly review our graduate selection process to ensure that it is free of bias.
Stage 1: Application form
Our application form enables us to understand your skills through competency questions as well as matching you against minimum criteria such as degree, right to work in the UK without the need for a visa and ability to drive.
You can log in any number of times before finally submitting your application (when you are happy it best represents you). Make sure you get your application in before 10th January 2010. We'll send you an email to let you know when we've received your application.
Stage 2: Online Tests
We need you to be able to meet our standard of ability that we test with SHL verbal and numerical tests. We will send you an email with a link for you to sign up and complete the tests. The deadline for getting these back to us is 29th January 2010.
Stage 3: Telephone Interview
We want to get to know more about you, so one of our team will arrange a time for a manager to speak with you. (This will be between 1st and 12th February 2010.) The interview will be about 45 minutes' long. It will be competency based, which means we'll want to hear about specific times you have demonstrated certain skills. Time preparing for this interview will help you to make the most of this opportunity.
Stage 4: Screening day
In the morning, you'll take part in a group exercise, which will be observed and assessed. You may also need to do another test (like the online tests).
At lunch, we'll let you know whether your application will be progressed to the next stage. For those of you who are successful, the afternoon will involve an interview. This is also a mainly competency-based interview, which means that you'll be asked to draw upon your personal experiences of certain situations.
Please pencil in 4th and 15th February 2010 as dates for this stage.
Final Stage: Assessment centre
Before attending the two day assessment we'll send you an occupational personality questionnaire (OPQ). This is not a test where you pass or fail, rather a means of understanding your working style preferences, which we may explore more at interview.
Day 1 is focused around giving you information about the company and the scheme.
Day 2 is our final opportunity to find out more about you. To do so, we have 3 sessions: a group exercise, a short presentation and a competency based interview.
You'll be given time to prepare for the presentation overnight between days 1 and 2.
Please pencil in 23rd and 24th March 2010 as dates for this stage.
