Helping local council go green
Kirklees Council is well known for helping its residents become more environmentally friendly and is now turning its efforts to its own buildings with a little help from us.
We've been working on a preparatory project with the council to install special real-time water monitoring equipment that will enable them to track water usage moment by moment.
We've been working on a preparatory project with the council to install special real-time water monitoring equipment that will enable them to track water usage moment by moment.
We're fitting pulse units - a device that picks up live information from the water meter and transfers it into flow data enabling the council to gain a better picture of how and where water is being used on their sites.
The project was initially trialled at 15 sites and because of its success the council have extended it to 40 sites. This forms part of a wider programme by Kirklees Council that aims to install sophisticated monitoring equipment for water, gas and electricity at all of its 1600 sites.
