That's right folks, you can request a free Fat Cake making kit and do your bit to feed our little feathered friends*.
The Fat Cakes come with everything you need to make up a tasty little treat for your garden birds. Just follow these three simple steps:
- Allow your fat to cool and remember do not use fat from salty bits of meat, polyunsaturated margarines or vegetable oils - lard and beef suet are best. For more advice on food for birds visit

- Pour into the mould provided and add the string and seeds.
- Once you have added all the components, just put your fat cake into the fridge to solidify. Once it's gone hard, it's ready to hang.

*As the fat cakes are quite bulky items it may not be possible for them to be posted through your letterbox. If you're not at home when delivery is attempted, you'll need to go down to your local sorting office to collect your fat cake.
