WaterAid
We provide financial support to WaterAid, a charity which works with partners in Africa and Asia to transform lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation and improved hygiene in some of the world's poorest communities.
Lots of our people are involved in fund-raising activities and we're extremely proud that together with our customers, we've raised over £3 million in the last 10 years. You could make a massive difference to someone's life by donating a small amount of money:
- £2 a month over a year could give a family safe, clean water for life
- £4 a month over a year pays for the cement to protect a spring benefiting 300 people in Uganda
- £10 a month over a year pays for one handpump to serve 10 households in Nepal
- £15 a month over a year pays for a tubewell and handpump to serve 15 families in Bangladesh

WaterAid at Glastonbury
Every year WaterAid takes a trip to the legendary Glastonbury festival and uses the opportunity to publicise its work in helping to provide clean water and sanitation to some of the world's poorest countries.
This year a number of our employees are giving up their time to help WaterAid canvas support for its work. The basic toilet facilities on offer at the festival definately provoke reactions from their users - but for the 2.5 billion people in the world without access to sanitation, lack of effective sanitation is more than a temporary inconvenience.
From cleaning toilets, picking up litter, distributing the rather useful shee pees and spotting celebrities our colleagues thought they would share with you their experiences.

Tap
into WaterAid
World Water Day (Sunday March 22, 2009) we launched WaterAid's new Tap Into WaterAid campaign to encourage restaurants, cafes and bars to offer customers the chance to make a voluntary donation to WaterAid when ordering a glass or jug of the finest Yorkshire Water with their meal.
We know that our water in Yorkshire is some of the best in the world and would encourage people in Yorkshire to take part in this initiative.
884 million people in the world do not have access to a source of safe water, so by making a small donation when you visit participating establishments you can really help make a huge difference to some of the world's poorest countries.
Restaurants wishing to take part can request a pack by e-mailing
